AIRVIA Medical high performance air purifiers

An innovative design with a 360° air intake

The unique design of AIRVIA Medical air purifiers is inspired by the world of aeronautics and aircraft turbines. It has been designed to optimise air circulation. Thanks to its cylindrical shape and its 360° air intake system, it is both elegant and efficient. It draws air in from all directions and releases it vertically to ensure efficient air circulation. The air in your room is, as a result, cleaned quickly and thoroughly.

Optimised air circulation

The air is drawn in by the motor at ground level all around the device. It then goes through 8 stages of filtration and depollution on its way to purification. Thanks to our vertical discharge pressurisation system, the purified air is then evenly reinjected throughout the room. You will not be disturbed by the noise level or by the blown air.

AIRVIA Medical air purifiers are ECP Air Cleaners certified

Our range of products meets the requirements of standard “ECP Air Cleaners’ and “NF 536 Air purifiers”. This standard validates the performance of our devices and in particular their efficiency and purification power, their safety / innocuity, their energy efficiency, as well as their noise level. Tests carried out by various independent laboratories certify that they are 99% effective against fine particles, gaseous pollutants, germs and allergens.

Clean air in minutes

AIRVIA Medical air purifiers have unmatched power. They are able to completely clean the air of a 100m² or 150m² space in just a few minutes. Their superior power has been certified by the CADR indicator with a score of over 500 m3/h, one of the best on the market. It has 5 different purification speeds to suit any space and any use.

2-in-1 purifier and ioniser

To rid your air of all pollutants, including nanoparticles, AIRVIA Medical air purifiers use 8 different purification technologies. The eighth stage is a so-called active filtration technology which diffuses negative ions in the air. Negative ions are extremely effective at targeting pollution particles (usually of positive polarity) and rendering them harmless to your health. Negative ions are present everywhere in natural environments and have many beneficial effects on health and well-being. Thanks to a negative ion density of 20 million pcs/cm3, the AIRVIA Medical purifier can boost your immune system, improve your blood circulation, and improve the quality of your sleep. This function can be activated or deactivated as desired.

Air sterilisation by UV

In addition to many other pollution control technologies, our products also use a UVC lamp to eliminate absolutely all germs. Without releasing ozone, our products sterilise the air and kill viruses, bacteria, moulds, and spores. Located in the centre of the device and completely harmless, the UVC (low-spectrum) lamp also serves as an activator for photocatalysis function, an oxidation-reduction reaction with a powerful air cleaning effect.

A high-end filter

All of our devices are equipped with a HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air)-certified filter which guarantees that they trap more than 99.97% of polluting particles with a diameter greater than or equal to 0.01 microns. These air filters are a benchmark used in medical, pharmaceutical, and various high-tech industries. We also use one of the most efficient models: HEPA H13.

Eight-step air purification

AIRVIA Medical products use eight different purification technologies to provide you with pollutant-free, germ-free, and allergen-free air.

Pre-filterHepa H13 filterBacteria separation filterActivated carbon filterAbsorption filter with molecular sievePurification by photocatalysisUV sterilizationNegative ion purification

Our air purifiers have a triple cleaning action: hygienic action, anti-allergen action and protective action against irritating, polluting, and toxic particles. They eliminate germs (bacteria, viruses, spores, moulds), allergens (mites, pollens, dust, animal hair), fumes (from tobacco, fire, barbecue) as well as many toxic gases and particles (formaldehyde, VOCs, fine particles, exhaust pipes) and bad odours. You finally breathe clean, healthy air all day long.

The AIRVIA Medical terminal displays the quality of your air in real time

The AIRVIA Medical air purifier has a portable control terminal that allows you to check the air quality in any room at a glance. Thanks to the latest generation sensors and lasers, you have access to all relevant data regarding your air quality right at your fingertips. The terminal display shows the levels of fine particles (PM2.5) and chemical pollution with a colour code for easier reading. It also shows the temperature and humidity of your space.

In automatic mode, the sensors allow the purifier to match its speed in real time to the level of pollution. The terminal also allows you to control the functions of the purifier as well as its settings: on/off, automatic mode, night mode, timer, fan speed, activation of negative ions, and UV.

A silent night mode

Breathe perfectly healthy air and enjoy the silence thanks to the “Night” mode of the AIRVIA Medical air purifier. It saves energy and allows you to sleep in peace: its noise level is less than 30 dB. You can also combine the “Night” mode with the timer function to program the switching off of the purifier. All of our products are designed to make your life easier and improve your well-being.

What is an air purifier?

An air purifier is an electrical device that cleans your indoor air by ridding it of pollutants. It plugs into a normal electrical outlet and circulates the air in order to treat it. It can be nstalled anywhere: at home, in the office, in the car, in the workplace, etc.

There are three types of air pollution: particulate (fine particles), chemical (gas), and biological (germs, mould, etc.). All three are captured by our devices. A purifier can act in two modes of action: filtration and pollution control.

Filters (such as HEPA, activated carbon, and bamboo fibre filters) physically capture pollutants and remove them from the ambient air. Pollution control technologies (such as photocatalysis, ionisation, or UV sterilisation) allow them to react with pollutants and degrade them to make them harmless.

A good air purifier will achieve air that is 99.95% clean

What are the effects of an air purifier on our health?

Every year, respiratory diseases affect more and more people in the United Kingdom of all ages. From the pollution of our cities to the effects of tobacco use, serious allergies, or asthma, respiratory diseases are constantly gaining ground. According to WHO forecasts, these respiratory diseases could become the third leading cause of death for people in the United Kingdom by 2030.

Whether you are simply health conscious, allergic, sensitive, or suffering from a respiratory illness, a purifier can effectively protect you from air pollution which is omnipresent in our modern societies. It completely purifies the air inside a home or workplace. It traps or destroys all of the harmful particles that we breathe without even realising it; viruses and bacteria; VOCs in our paints; formaldehyde in our furniture and textiles, etc. It thus protects us from the many deleterious effects of pollution: cancer, poisoning, and cardiovascular disease, to name a few.

It also allows smokers to protect their loved ones from second-hand smoking. Furthermore, it is a great ally for people with sensitive bronchi, people with allergies, or those with asthma, and helps reduce the effects of their symptoms.

Breathe healthy air to keep a healthy body!

Have AIRVIA Medical’s air purifiers’ actions been scientifically proven?

Although air purification remains an immature and poorly regulated market throughout Europe, air purification processes are based on scientifically-established technologies. We use eight different purification technologies and each has its own area of action and efficiency. Some are more recognised and established than others due to their seniority. This is particularly the case with the HEPA filter, which has existed since the 1940s and meets European standards EN 1822 and EN ISO 29463. Regarding UV rays, they have been recognised for their antibacterial and antiviral properties for more than a century.

More information about all 8 air purification steps used in AIRVIA Medical products can be found on the home page of our site.

What are the advantages of AIRVIA Medical products?

AIRVIA Medical products are high-end air purifiers that combine all of the best current filtration technologies: pre-filter, bamboo fibre, HEPA H13 filter, activated carbon, photocatalysis layer, UVC lamp, and ionisation. This allows for extremely thorough filtration that targets all major air pollutants.

Additionally, our design is inspired by aeronautics and allows for unmatched air circulation efficiency. We draw air in from 360° at floor level and reject it vertically, creating natural air circulation in the room. This allows you to have the best of both worlds: thorough filtration while maintaining record power (over 500 m3/hr).

This cylindrical design also allows it to be placed anywhere in the room. Furthermore, maintenance is easy: the filters last a year (six months for the CAR model) and take less than a minute to change.

In addition to their efficiency, power, and ease of installation, AIRVIA Medical products are recognized for their quality, as evidenced by their European AFNOR standard certification. That’s why we offer a 5-year hardware warranty on the AERO 100 and PRO 150 and a 3-year warranty on the ORIGIN 40 and AIRVIA CAR, as well as a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Does an air purifier replace an air conditioner, dehumidifier, or mechanical ventilation?

No, an air purifier can only purify your indoor air. It does not have a function to change the temperature, humidity, or oxygen level in your space.

AIRVIA Medical advises you to continue to ventilate your home regularly. If you don’t have a CMV, you can open your windows to renew your air for 10 minutes, morning and evening, as recommended by the Environment Agency. The AIRVIA Medical air purifier will then work quickly to clean this new air, which is certainly more polluted but allows you to oxygenate your home.

There are some two-in-one or even three-in-one devices that promise to heat or cool your room or regulate its humidity. Most air purification experts consider this to be an poor investment because the high-performance filters found in any proper purifier will inevitably be degraded by the overheated or dry air in such machines. AIRVIA Medical has therefore decided to focus solely on air purification, its area of expertise, for effective and proven action.

Note that our devices are perfectly compatible with existing air conditioning systems. Simply take care to avoid placing them just below an air vent (to prevent condensation from dripping onto the machine).

What are the domains of AIRVIA Medical products?

The AIRVIA Medical air purifier has been inspired by the best of technologies used in the medical and industrial world to develop its range of products. We sell to both individuals and professionals. You can therefore find our devices in use in homes, apartments or offices as well as in medical offices, pharmacies, restaurants, hotels, hairdressing salons, and public buildings.

AIRVIA now offers purification on the road! Thanks to the latest addition to AIRVIA products, AIRVIA CAR© protects you from inhaling harmful pollutants during commutes and car journeys.

What is the surface/volume of action?

AIRVIA Medical currently offers four models.

The ORIGIN 40 has four speed levels that allow it to cover all spaces between 0 and 40m2 (i.e. a volume of 100 m3).

The AERO 100 has five speed levels that allow it to cover all spaces between 0 and 100m2 (i.e. a volume of 280 m3).

Likewise, the PRO 100 has five speed levels which allow it to cover all spaces between 0 and 150m2 (i.e. a volume of 420 m3).

Note that even if you have a smaller space, our devices will be suitable for your needs. In no case will the power be “wasted” because, thanks to their different speed levels, our products can adapt to all profiles. Also, the smaller the space, the faster the air will be purified. Our devices also have an automatic mode that allows them to adjust the speed in real time to the given pollution rate.

The AIRVIA CAR©, on the other hand, has three speed levels and is suitable for cars with a passenger compartment up to 13m3.

Where should I put my air purifier? Can it purify my entire home?

Thanks to their cylindrical design and 360° suction, our air purifiers can be placed anywhere. Ideally, one would choose an open location that is close to an electrical outlet.

Indeed, as long as the air can circulate, our devices will be able to purify the entire volume of air in your home. To do this, you must be sure to keep the doors inside your home open. If there are multiple floors or winding corridors, efficiency will be reduced – but not zero. It is therefore advisable to buy several devices under these circumstances.

For individuals, it is common to place the air purifier in the living room, the kitchen, or the bedroom.

Note that it is not recommended to keep the windows or doors leading outside open while using the purifier as this is counterproductive. It is much more difficult for the device to purify constantly changing air. Air purifiers are more effective when they purify the same air multiple times. You must, of course, continue to ventilate your space regularly, but no need to keep the purifier on.

What is the noise level of an AIRVIA air purifier?

AIRVIA Medical purifiers do not make more noise than a standard ventilator. They have 5 speed modes that range from perfectly silent to very powerful, allowing them to effectively adapt to all spaces and pollution levels. The device itself does not make any noise; it is the current of air which, depending on its speed, may make a noise. For further clarification, at speed 1, the device is completely inaudible, while at speed 5 it emits 68 decibels. After the first few days, the device will mainly stay in speed 1 (<30 dB) or speed 2 (41 db).

Note that our purifiers have a “Night” mode which eliminates all indicator lights and lowers its noise to less than 30dB.

Does it have to run continuously to be effective?

For professionals, it is advisable to keep the purifier in automatic mode during the day and to turn it off upon leaving for the evening.

For individuals, there is usually no need to use it for more than 2-3 hours per day. A typical use is to turn it on one hour in both the morning and evening after having ventilated your space (and after having closed your windows). This is usually more than enough to maintain impeccable air quality. Of course, this must be adapted according to the situation. It is perfectly normal and advisable to use it longer if, for example, you want to protect yourself from stubborn cigarette odours from a neighbour, at night if you are allergic or asthmatic, or even continuously during a period of epidemic.

The device is designed to last, and you will be able to adapt your use yourself according to your situation, your state of health, and your air quality as shown on our control terminal.

Note that standby mode is the least energy consuming.

How often do I need to change the filter?

The multi-layered filter of the ORIGIN 40, AERO 100 and PRO 150 is sized to last one year (12 months) on average, while the AIRVIA CAR© filter lasts 6 months.

Our filters are able to last so long due to their cylindrical design: they, therefore, have both a larger contact surface and a larger volume.

The actual duration of the filter will depend on your pollution level. Filter lifespans may be reduced when used in highly polluted environments (around 5% of cases).

Where can I order a replacement filter?

You can order your replacement filter directly on our website in our accessories shop. Delivery is fast, and we can help you rest assured that you are ordering the right filter for your model.

What is the AIRVIA Medical Remote Control Display?

The AIRVIA Medical control terminal is a measurement and control unit that comes included with the AERO 100 and PRO 150. It is a smart device with a digital display that is easy to read and operate. It allows you to have access to the quality of your air (its fine particle pollution and chemical pollution as well as its humidity level) at a glance. With its colourful, user-friendly captions, you’ll easily know whether or not you need to clean your air.

The control terminal also allows you to program your purifier and activate or deactivate functions such as the timer, night mode, or automatic mode. It will allow you to save energy by switching the device off or putting it in standby mode when the air quality is satisfactory.

Can the ORIGIN 40 be used without a smartphone? What is the Tuya Smart App?

Yes! Although we highly recommend using the smartphone app, the ORIGIN 40 comes with a remote that lets you control all functions. Of course you can also directly use the physical buttons on the air purifier.

The Tuya Smart app allows you not only to control your air purifiers but also to program different behaviors and scenarios (Example: turn Sleep mode on every day at 8pm).

Note that the AIRVIA CAR© does not come with a remote. It can be controlled via the AIRVIA Connect app or via the touch screen directly.

How much energy does an AIRVIA air purifier consume?

The AIRVIA Medical air purifier combines the best technologies for optimum efficiency and minimum consumption. Its power at maximum speed is 48W and only 3W at minimum speed. Used 4 hours a day at maximum power, 365 days a year, your air purifier consumes a little more than 70 kWh, i.e. less than half the energy consumption of a refrigerator or a vacuum cleaner (consumption calculated in proportion to their time of use).

How long is the warranty period?

We offer one of the best guarantees on the market. It covers all material faults or breakdowns that may arise. This warranty applies as long as your device has been used in good condition and has been properly maintained. Our AERO 100 and PRO 150 models are guaranteed for 5 years. Our ORIGIN 40 and AIRVIA CAR© is guaranteed for 3 years. You will find the text of our warranty here and our sales conditions here.

What is the difference between the AERO 100 and the PRO 150?

The AERO 100 and the PRO 150 are two versions of the same device, the device that made AIRVIA Medical known to businesses and individuals alike. Both use exactly the same type of AIRVIA Medical filtration, a combination of the eight best technologies available.

The main difference is that the AERO 100 can handle a space up to 100 m2 (280m3) while the PRO 150 goes up to 150 m2 (420m3). Since we size our filters to last 12 months on average, that means the filter in the PRO 150 as well as the device itself is bigger (taller). The motors are very similar and the power varies little between the two devices.

Another difference is that we made the PRO 150 pre-filter separately interchangeable, to accommodate our hairdresser friends.
